A property firm in Manchester says it is gobsmacked after a former commercial building it redeveloped into 25 low-energy apartments to rent were snapped up within minutes of being put on the market.

Beech Holdings, which operates as a PRS property developer but also trades as letting agency Manchester Apartments, says the building is now fully let well into 2024.
Stephen Beech, CEO of Beech Holdings, said: “The speed in which this building was let has been incredibly fast, even for our usual demand.

“Yet again, its proving to us that Greater Manchester is in desperate need of quality, high specification apartments for its burgeoning population.

“This area of Media City, with its close proximity to multiple large employers and the universities, is screaming out for more accommodation.

“Of course, this is great news for regional developers, but making it very hard for people to be able to select quality accommodation they demand.”

Beech is also relieved after it sunk £4.2 million into the redevelopment of Brookland House from commercial to residential including one-bed and duplex sustainable apartments.
